Meet the dogs!

“The dog is the most faithful of animals and would be much esteemed were it not so common. Our Lord God has made His greatest gifts the commonest.”  -Martin Luther

Gender: male (neutered)

Breed: Siberian/?

Age: 2

Position: lead or wheel

Thor is my best puller. He is very strong and LOVES to pull. He is my main leader and has lead in races for me when he was only a year old. He is an awesome (and dorky) dog in genral. He loves to cuddle and sleep on anything soft. He is the engine for my team. Many mushers have commented on how great of a dog he is. Thor is from Absaroka Dogsled Treks and is Shila's brother. You can like Thor on facebook!

Gender: female (spayed)

Breed: Siberian

Age: 3

Position: swing and couch decoration

Nora is a good pet but isn't as quite cut out to be a sled dog compared to Thor and Shilah. Her prefered pace is a slow trot. :) She thinks she is the queen of the dog roost even though she is the smallest. Her legs and pulling passion aren't as big as Thor and Shila's but she is good at training inexperienced dogs to lead.

Gender: male (neutered)

Breed: Border Collie/lab/?

Age: 9

Position: guard dog/retired

Loki isn't really a sled dog. I have tried using him as a sled dog but he doesn't pull a lot, and likes to just come along for the ride. :) Though he is an excellent guard dog. He tries to act like an old man, though we just found out he was climbing a seven foot fence.... (nice try Loki!) He is our family dog and is a really sweet guy. We got him from the pound at six months.

Dogs that found a new home

"The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he scold you, but he will make a fool of himself, too." -Samuel Butler
